I sent a note to the Mayor asking to see the nearly complete job description. I learned it was required for Fire Pension to kick in. No word yet - will share via the Blog asap.

Fire Pension to kick in? Could you elaborate more? I did not think it was possible to pay into the same pension system twice. I know you cannot receive double service credits. I thought the State of Ohio requires you to be a Level II Firefighter to be fulltime and contribute into the retirement system.
ReplyDeleteHi Cortney here. I am not sure of the rules here. I would encourage you to call the Village Office for more info. I'd love to hear what you find. This is a great example of the benefit of Committee Meetings to bring us up to speed on the idea. The good news is they've been agreed to over the next 180 days. Later than I'd like but still appreciated.
