I attended Council on 12/26 and here's what I saw.
Good Gen Fund Balance. Our cost savings plus residents increasing income have been a double help. This is great news. I hope we don't take our foot off the cost savings pedal now that we have a bit of a cushion.
Relocated Wooster Pike Trees. I'm glad we saved these "adolescent" trees and relocated them to Dale Park vs tearing them down. Related, I'm thankful for Mr Spinneweber's generosity again with the new beautiful trees.
Rules of Council. I don't think we ought to give Council's authority away. Council should have more influence on daily matters, not less. So I vote no.
Expanded School Zone. I think the West St Intersection will be much safer than today. This is a good idea.
I voted in the affirmative on all votes which were procedural in nature. I voted no on Rules of Council, and yes on Expanded School zone.
